First of all, they’re KIDS! They are as young as 2 or may be aging out of Foster Care. They are kids who are silly and bright and full of potential.

They are also kids who have experienced neglect, exploitation and abuse. They have been unsafe at home and fled. They are sad and angry and facing daunting emotional challenges alongside all the regular challenges of growing up. They are kids working hard to become healthy. T

hey have felt like they do not belong, but they will see you on the final corner of the race, just before you cross the finish line and will be cheering with hearts full of HOPE because they know you are running FOR THEM and that Missoula is a community where the DO belong.
